December brings construction for Brookhaven park projects – Reporter Newspapers & Atlanta Intown
Construction will ramp up on two of Brookhaven park projects this month.Construction on a new splash pad for Lynwood Park is expected to begin in December, and work is already underway for improvements to Murphey Candler Park’s pool parking lot, according to a city spokesperson. Both of these projects are part of Brookhaven’s $40 million parks bond, which passed in 2018.

Botica, a Mexican and Spanish restaurant, is set to open a new location at Buckhead’s Phipps Plaza mall.
The more than 4,600-square-foot restaurant will come to Phipps as part of its major expansion. The upscale mall is adding a new office building, hotel, fitness club and food hall.

Beginning the week of Sunday, February 14, 2021, the Department of Public Works, Office of Solid Waste Services, will begin to alternate the weeks of collection services for yard trimmings and recycling materials.
For the next 90 days:
Starting Monday, February 15, 2021: The second and fourth week of every month,
only garbage and recycling materials will be collected.
Starting Monday, February 22, 2021: The first and third week of every month,
only garbage and yard trimmings will be collected.
There are NO CHANGES to the Department’s other curbside collection programs, including solid waste and back yard collections. Residents should follow their normal schedule and place their material at the curb after 7:00 p.m., the night before their scheduled collection day.
